In summary:
You must ensure your drone is registered if it weighs more than 0.55lbs, fly within line-of-sight and under 400ft, avoid flying within 5 miles of an airport that has controlled airspace without permission, and avoid flying within restricted airspace (which you can check by using an app like B4UFLY), unless special permission is granted through the LAANC. Lastly, you must possess a TRUST certificate (acquired by taking an FAA quiz on safe UAS operation).
